The Midnight Run is a walking, arts-filled, night-time cultural journey through a city. It gathers strangers and local artists/activists to explore, play and create whilst the city sleeps.

Name: Inua Ellams. Founder of The Midnight Run.
Location: London, England

Born in Nigeria in 1984, Inua Ellams is an award-winning poet, playwright, performer, theatre— maker, graphic designer and visual artist. He founded the Midnight Run in London 2005 and cites his immigrant background as a key factor of its conception. He brings a nomadic tradition, a cross art-form artistic practice and an unquenchable enthusiasm for play in urban spaces to the Midnight Run. Elena

Name: Elena Mazzoni-Wagner.
Location: Prato, Italy.

Elena Mazzoni Wagner is the Head of European Operations for The Midnight Run and founder of CCT-SeeCity, an award-winning online culture hub from Italy. CCT-SeeCity focuses on an ever-expanding community of culture, curiosities and creativity through creative street journalism. CCT-SeeCity has supported The Midnight Run since 2011.

NAME: Andy Craven Griffiths
Location: Leeds, England.

Andy Craven-Griffiths is a poet and workshop facilitator, he has performed at the likes of Glastonbury and Latitude Festival, been broadcast across Radio 1, Radio 4, BBC 2 and had published poetry journals via Magma and Ambit. Andy is also lead singer / rapper with his band ‘Middleman’. The band have toured everywhere from Reading Festival to SXSW, Texas, and played live sessions for Radio 1, 6 Music and XFM.

NAME: Imogen Butler-Cole
Location: London, England.

Imogen Butler-Cole is artistic director at The What Works, an international theatre company working in India, Bangladesh and the UK specializing in multi-lingual theatre. She is a graduate from RADA and has trained in Lecoq – based physical theatre. Imogen has performed and directed in theatre in television in the UK, France, New Zealand, Brazil.

NAME: Kit Caless
Location: London, England.

Kit Caless is a co-founder, editor and publisher at Influx Press. He is passionate about producing alternative, respected and well-designed books that explore place and our relationship with space. Working as a freelance writer, Kit has had several short fiction and journalism pieces published in many places including Ambit, The Quietus, and the Huffington Post. Kit works as a freelance as a speaker and events coordinator, with specific focus on London literature. Jonna

NAME: Jonna Nummela
Location: London, England.

Originally hailing from Finland, Jonna Nummela is a freelance writer, performer and trained drama facilitator based in east London. Growing up and living in various cities around the world, Jonna has always found urban environments intriguing, homely and inspirational.  Within her own artistic practice she uses a combination of international and multi-cultural experiments to bring communities and people within them closer together.


NAME: Vicky Wright
Location: London, England.

Vicky Wright is an experienced performer, Movement therapist & workshop facilitator trained in physical theatre and dance. She runs regular workshops in Mask & Movement with Making Faces Theatre & works in injury rehabilitation, alongside swinging from the silks as aerial dancer at The Aircraft Circus.
